Early life and family background

Stephen Adam Markowitz, better known by his stage name Hoodie Allen, was born on August 29, 1988, in Plainview, New York. His parents are both Jewish and he has an older sister. Hoodie Allen's mother is a speech pathologist and his father is a lawyer.
